Sparkes 1968, 9, notes that the sessile kantharos with low handles is the most practical, albeit least elegant, of the fifth century kantharoi. Slightly outturned, rounded rim; tall, flaring wall, offset from shallow rounded bowl, divided from moulded ring foot by groove.
