Decoration Mouth is red on top and black down neck until a moulded ridge when there are rays down to black square blocks on shoulder. Band of vine leaves. Handle is black and below it is a palmette complex with tendrils either side joining to two more palmette designs. On front, is head and shoulders of a woman facing left, wearing tight-fitting black cap, with hair emerging in two curls at top. Serrated leaf and rosettes in field.
Inscriptions
Condition Design on face has been much rubbed off. Incomplete and repaired with eight segments missing. Handle and body repaired.

Attribution Trendall, LCS 178.1067: possibly by the Primato Painter, but belonging to a group of 'minor vases' that may be 'workshop pieces' (176).
