Shape Kantharos
Shape_description Two handles, all black and one either side which start at base of body and curl up and over, higher than mouth with small spurs at the base. Mouth has wide rim.

Decoration Handles all black. Mouth has wide rim, inside is all black but streaky. Reserved band under rim. Design is similar both sides and shows a woman's head facing left with ornate head dress and jewellry on in white and yellow added paint. Under handles on body is a red block between white lines with dots down originally. Stem is long and has a moulded band around centre. Foot has three steps all black (faded to red). Base is also stepped inside but reserved.
Inscriptions
Condition Intact. Colours faded and black paint inside is streaky. Stem and foot faded or fired red to black.

Attribution Trendall and Cambitoglou, 2.1014 and 2.1015.906-907, class this kantharos, as well as Reading RM.25.53.32, as 'associated in style with the Kantharos Group'.
